Tarot Gives Financial Guidance

So, of course, disclaimer disclaimer, I am NOT saying that you should use the Tarot for your financial guidance. If you have a financial or money-related question, you should go to a licensed professional. However, I would just like to share a story about how that could actually work.

I went to a hot spring in Nagano, North Japan, with my cousins a few years ago. One of my cousins is what you could call an in-the-bone socialist, she has lived on a beach in Thailand in her bikini for 5 years, for example. So when I gave her a Tarot reading, I was shocked, yes shocked to see the 4 of Pentacles, Queen of Pentacles and King of Pentacles all there on the table. I told her that I thought her reading was wrong, but she said: Just go ahead and tell me what you see.

So, I said: “Turns out, you’re a money-grabbing whore after all!” No, that’s not what I said, nor even what I thought, but I just slipped that in the story, in case it gave you a bit of a laugh. What I actually said was: “Looks like you have some financial issues on your mind, you are thinking about saving and investing for the future, maybe budgeting and making financial plans of all sorts.” She agreed, and said that that was why she had asked me for a Tarot reading, because she was thinking of getting investments and a retirement plan, now her daughter was getting older and she was planning for the future.

Incredible, I thought, that the Tarot can be that pin-point accurate, that we can get answers to even our most worldly questions using the Tarot. And THAT’S when I decided to become a professional Tarot card reader, in case you were wondering.

Talking of which, yesterday this happened:

Thank you as ever to my super-sweet Tokyo Tarot Meetup Group. We completed Lesson 5 of 8 of our Tarot course yesterday. I asked my students for a reading about a rather scary letter from my local council in the UK, and what I should do about it. Should I call and confess all, or should I try to brush everything under the carpet?

What’s your interpretation?

Tokyo Tarot Rocks My World

It’s official: My Tarot students are the absolute BEST! They are funny, insightful, intelligent and supportive. Thank you to everyone who came to the second lesson yesterday, and see you soon I hope.

Beginners’ Tarot Course Starts This Week

Hierophant card from The Mythic Tarot

Yes, my friends, it’s Autumn again – no, really – and as such it’s time to learn stuff! If you are in Tokyo or surrounding area in the next few months and would really like to learn the meanings of all 78 Tarot cards, and (what’s more important) exactly how to use them to get a real ass-kicking Tarot reading, now is your chance.

View the Tokyo Tarot Meetup group’s Autumn schedule for more information.

New Reiki Share Dates

Come and share Reiki and all-round good vibes. If you don’t have attunement, don’t worry, as you will receive Reiju, which is temporary Reiki attunement, it allows you to give Reiki. If you are a Reiki practitioner, come along and tell us about your services and courses. I’m holding two per month: one on the 3rd Sunday, one on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, so that everyone gets a chance to go.

Since it was so hard to organise any Reiki Shares in Yokosuka, due to lack of suitable space, I decided to hold them in Yokohama instead. There are many excellent spaces there that I’ve rented before. Yokohama is only 30 mins from Tokyo and from Yokosuka, and the event space is about 5 to 10 minutes from the North exit of Yokohama station.

By the way, if you are interested in renting spaces around Japan, because you want to hold a meetup or whatever, maybe for a business meeting or networking event, I recommend spacee.jp. It seems to be the best of the space rental sites, IMHO.

Check out my Meetup group, Energy Network, for more info on the Reiki shares. To find out more about my work as a Shamanic Reiki Master Teacher, check out my other website: LOTUSFOREST.NET.

Timing Events with the Chaldean Decans

Tokyo Tarot Meetup rides again, at Denny’s Restaurant, Shinagawa, and this time we focused on  the magnificent Chaldean Decans, or decanates, whichever you prefer.

This system is based on the Chaldean calendar. The idea is that you can time events in the future using Tarot cards. I love this kind of fortune telling, because you get prediction and timing together.

Coming up soon, I will be offering a Chaldean Decan mini e-course, which will be FREE to Star Tarot Blog and newsletter Subscribers, and Patreon supporters.

If you want to see a much more beautiful version of the Chaldean calendar, see THIS blog post. In the reading on the table above, the member asked when she was getting married. Based on what the Tarot said, and looking at the calendar, what do you think?

Tarot Telesummit

Mass excitement here at Star Tarot as the indefatigable Kim Wilborn announces what promises to be another “Fly Higher, Fly Further” Tarot telesummit: Tarot Horizons. In case you’ve never participated in one of these, they are free to join, and take place live over 5 days, with recorded replays available for 48 hours. Guest speakers are usually pretty fantastic, you definitely learn a lot. My advice is hook yourself up. If you love Tarot, then this is the event for you.

Marseille Old and New

Really happy to see these two Marseille decks side by side. Amazing how the old Spanish version has 3 people at the magician’s table, with a dog biting at his fleas below it. What is on that table, I wonder?

The Star Card has also changed so much. At what point did the Alchemist Mage become a nude young woman?

Thanks as always to Tokyo Tarot Meetup, this evening in Yokosuka, for the images.

Just Look at the Darn Cards, Will Ya?

Maman Miyuki’s Tarot de Marseille

Reading through Tom Benjamin’s Tarot on Earth ahead of next month’s Tokyo Tarot Book Club Event, I’m excited to begin reading what I actually see on the table (or in this case bed) instead of what I know.

In this spread, I asked about the nature of the relationship with the people I work with. So what do we actually SEE?

The significator is the central card. We see people meeting face to face and two cups. But they are separated by some ornate stem flower in a red vase – the Yoni is in the room! Below is the world surrounded by a whole botanical garden of foliage and encased in more ornamentation than a German Rococo church. The little fishy-monsters are looking at each other but showing their teeth. So this spread is about socialising, or not, and the pressures of the world underlying the urge towards potential friendships.

On the left we see a lot of cups upside down. There are upset emotions and cups that are not charged. In the centre is a little blue flower with a red centre… another Yoni, but feeling cold, it seems.

On the right is the 9 of Coins. Money or plates are on the table, and the door is open, but there is something barring the way, another something, a mirror, a world,  or a face that is separate from the rest, in the middle but enclosed in a fancy wall. At the risk of becoming tiresome, it’s a Yoni wall!  The flower buds reach out top and bottom, so there is potential for events to unfold, but even though the roots of the flowers connect, there is nothing happening yet and one person is being kept separate from the others.

So we are seeing a disconnection of people based on the tight constraints of the world. The left side (female) feels upset and that the wine is being wasted. The right side (male) feels that the central face needs to be kept apart, but it’s difficult because that person is right in the midst of everyone.

A pretty bang-on description of what is going on at work currently, I’d say. And all I did was look at the darn cards. Thanks, Tom Benjamin. This is a seriously great tool.

Tarot Reading Peer Feedback Event

Sun and Moon Tarot deck

I’m so enjoying the Tokyo Tarot peer feedback events. If you want to get better as a Tarot reader, the absolute best way is to do readings in return for feedback. We get together once a month and as a group exchange readings for feedback. Listening to other people give readings, and getting a new take on the cards is also invaluable.

Make Oracle Cards Workshop

I’ve been wanting to hold this workshop for the longest, longest time and finally today it all came together, like a beautiful dream, except of course it was real. Bonus.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, and thank you to all the amazing Spirit Guide specialists in creativity and intuition. Let’s do it again soon.
